Issues faced by Groupe Pochet before digitalizing with fabriq
Before fabriq, teams at the Qualipac site in Chartres were already running routines and tier meetings (or SIMs), but they were done on paper and whiteboards. Data became scattered or erased, creating several issues such as:
- Information did not flow upward (from Top 15 to Top 30) or was distorted, and there was no downward flow back to shopfloor teams
- Lost time preparing tier meetings or SIMs (searching for indicators, manual entry, etc.)
- Weak communication between support teams, particularly Quality, and production teams
- Insufficient tracking and traceability of action plans (Quality and Production)

Deploying fabriq at Groupe Pochet’s Qualipac Chartres site
Digitalization is part of Groupe Pochet’s strategy, especially under the third pillar: Industrial Performance. By digitalizing, the Group aimed to support frontline workers and give them more autonomy to raise issues directly from the shopfloor.
The rollout of fabriq at Qualipac Chartres happened in stages. The solution was first implemented in the Injection workshop, then deployed across other site teams as well as the Quality department.
Key steps included:
- Digitalizing daily rituals at three levels: operators, managers, and leadership
- Centralizing, structuring, and escalating information across the three tiers
- Creating dashboards for better visibility and monitoring of performance indicators
- Problem-solving through the 5 Whys tool and the 8D tool
- Quality: tracking of internally blocked lots
How the Qualipac teams embraced fabriq and the benefits they observed
Following implementation, the Pochet Qualipac teams saw significant benefits, both in production and within the Quality department. Adoption was quick and easy: teams were eager to use fabriq, and engagement was even stronger because “the tool was created by people, for people.” Key impacts included:
- Time savings in tier meeting (SIM) preparation, thanks to automatic indicator reporting
- Faster action completion and more structured action tracking
- Better-framed and better-monitored problem analyses
- Improved communication between production and support teams
- Smoother, more efficient performance management on a daily basis
- A historical record of actions taken in response to deviations, enabling better problem-solving over time

“The benefits of fabriq are that we now focus more on solving problems rather than preparing for the tier meeting (SIM). Before, during tier meeting preparation, we had to manually fill in the table with indicators, whereas today all indicators are pulled in automatically. fabriq allows us to streamline tier meetings and easily escalate our issues to the Top 30, and get feedback from the Top 30 down to the Top 15.”
